Hasan Süzer’s Journey from Hospitality to Turkey’s Leading Medical Tourism Industry with SuzerMed

Many men are aware of the likelihood of hair loss, and rightly so – according to TheTrendSpotter, nearly two-thirds of men will experience some form of thinning or hair loss by the age of 35. While some men choose to completely shave their heads, others aren’t quite ready to let go of their hair yet. There are several options available, and a hair transplant procedure is becoming increasingly popular.

Turkey is a very popular destination for those wishing to undergo the hair transplant procedure, however, the hair transplant market is growing globally. The Insight Partners conducted market research to determine that the global hair transplant market was valued at US$5,272.1 million in 2017, and the valuation is estimated to reach US$28,627.6 million by 2025, as reported BioSpace.

Entrepreneur Hasan Süzer leads the hair transplant industry in Turkey with his eponymous medical clinic, SuzerMed. Süzer studied hotel management in college, but did an internship at a healthcare company after graduation. The two go hand in hand, however – hospitality and healthcare are both strongly customer-focused, aiming to give each customer the best possible care.

Once Süzer joined the healthcare business, he was able to quickly rise through the ranks. Due to his ease of progression in the corporate world, Süzer realized he wanted to do more, so he entered the lucrative medical tourism industry when he merged his knowledge of hospitality. and in health care.

“I first started with an agency – I was bringing clients to Turkey for different procedures with a focus on plastic surgery,” recalls Süzer. “Then I decided to open the clinic, which is much more fulfilling because rather than just directing clients, we treat them.

Süzer’s primary goal through his practice is to ensure that each client endures a friendly, luxurious and comfortable experience. Suzermed provides medical services including hair transplants and plastic surgery in collaboration with two leading hospitals, Acıbadem Atakent Hospital and Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital. With patient care at the forefront, every guest enjoys transportation to and from the airport, as well as a lavish stay at the Ritz Carlton in Istanbul.

Regarding SuzerMed’s future plans, Süzer says he hopes to expand in Turkey, and potentially in other countries with branches in various medical fields. “We are also currently expanding into pharmaceuticals and into the area of medical supplies,” Süzer explained.
