Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA), a component of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, has organized overseas internships for 261 of its students in Bachelor of Hotel Management and Bachelor of Arts program culinary. Students will help top hotel brands organize mega events in Qatar (2022 FIFA World Cup) and Abu Dhabi (Formula 1 Grand Prix). Speaking about the internship announcement, Chief K. Thirugnanasambantham, Director of WGSHA said, “This is a great opportunity for our students to showcase their skills and knowledge. Two of Qatar’s most iconic hotels have selected over 300 students to assist them in this mega event. This type of experiential learning will surely benefit our students in their future endeavours. He added, “The achievements of our alumni and our constant efforts to develop aspiring hospitality professionals have resulted in major international hotel brands approaching us directly for interns.
