The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota named Rajesh “Raj” Khubchandani as general manager. Khubchandani will oversee all resort, residence, beach club and golf club operations, while also reinforcing the most iconic beloved traditions of the iconic property which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
A seasoned hotelier for over 28 years, Khubchandani has worked in many countries. An award-winning and respected executive at Marriott International, Inc., he most recently served as vice president of luxury brand operations.
Prior to that, he held several management positions at other Ritz-Carlton properties including General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton, Boston and Ritz-Carlton Towers Residences, Boston Common, and manager of the opening hotel at the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.
A native of India, Khubchandani graduated from the University of Calcutta, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in commerce and majored in economics and finance. He also studied Strategic Hospitality Management at Cornell University and completed his postgraduate studies at the Oberoi Center of Learning and Development in New Delhi, India.
