React Mobile Unveils Improved Hotel Staff Security Platform With Next Generation Panic Button Features |

A new response app that will allow employees to receive security alert notifications on their mobile devices and send help.

React Mobile unveils version 2.0 of its workforce security platform designed to deliver the industry’s highest panic button reliability and beacon location accuracy while being radically easier to use for hotel employees. React Mobile 2.0 will be on display September 28-30 at Booth 1723 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center at HITEC Dallas.

“Hotel operators are focused on the safety of their valuable staff,” React Mobile CEO John Stachowiak said. “As a leading provider of panic button solutions for hotels around the world, we knew we had to improve our solution to ensure the highest standards of reliability and accuracy in an emergency. We didn’t just make a little adjustment here and there; We have completely rebuilt our solution from the ground up so that it is unlike any employee security solution on the market. It’s better. It’s easier. And those testing the beta of React Mobile 2.0 say they are blown away by the improvements. Deployment of the software upgrade will begin in October 2021. No additional hardware is required for existing customers. We encourage users to call us as soon as possible to queue their properties. React Mobile 2.0 is available immediately for new customers.

Four value propositions separate React Mobile 2.0 from other personnel security platforms on the market:

  1. Silent alarm – Unlike competitors who use noise makers to deter troublemakers (which can often make violence worse), React Mobile 2.0 sets off a silent alarm that brings help without alerting others that a response is coming.
  2. Verifiable shipping – Once the silent panic button alarm is pressed, an indicator light starts flashing red. In less than a second (when a responder receives the alert) the flashing light turns blue, indicating to the employee in distress that help is on the way.
  3. Confidential system – React Mobile 2.0 prevents panic buttons from being triggered by mistake. By changing the button press pattern (hold for three seconds or press the button three times within three seconds), false positive alerts are avoided. React Mobile 2.0 also complies with collective agreements that protect employees from being tracked on property when they are not in danger, saving panic button battery life and respecting employee privacy.
  4. Instant activation – In many competitive situations, when a panic button is pressed, someone must hear an audible alarm before they can call a dispatcher who may need a conversation while an attack is in progress. The result is a long delay before help is on its way. React Mobile 2.0 offers the fastest response time compared to other vendors.

“Customers in Las Vegas and Seattle were eager to test this enhanced security solution,” said Riley Eller, CTO of React Mobile. “Already, the platform is proving to have the fastest response time on the market. Thus, operators can have new conversations with their insurers and negotiate lower insurance premiums. But the benefits don’t end there. Our software architects designed React Mobile 2.0 so that even properties still operating with extremely small numbers of staff can provide instant help, including contacting first responders for a backup.

Key features of React Mobile 2.0 include:

  • A new response app that will allow employees to receive security alert notifications on their mobile devices and send help. Management will receive scans measuring the time it took for the employee to respond to an active alert.
  • Support for all 3rd party iBeacons, such as Aruba, Cisco Meraki and CommScope / RUCKUS®. With the iBeacon functionality already existing in hotel WiFi hotspots, hoteliers will save up to 90% on the cost of installing the Workforce Security Platform.
  • A new highly sensitive machine learning back-end to dramatically increase location accuracy.
  • A dual redundant alert pipeline to ensure alerts are sent from panic buttons to responders as quickly as possible. React Mobile 2.0 delivers 99.9% of alerts in less than half a second.
  • Press the LTE buttons once to check battery life and identify coverage issues.
  • Two-way multilingual conversations in English, Spanish, French and Chinese. All languages can be supported on request.
  • Single sign-on (SSO) authentication using the email address and password of existing employees.
  • Regional operations where housekeepers and responders working at multiple properties can use React Mobile 2.0 across the enterprise.
