TREND mosaics – all that glitters is really gold • Hotel Designs

While maintaining the historic integrity of the buildings required a delicate touch, pushing the design as far as possible without compromising the design spirit of the building was a challenge the owners of this sprawling property in Miami Beach faced with relish. . Italian entrepreneurs well known in the world of luxury design and high-end constructions, they saw an opportunity to create a family home that would cross the decades and stand proud and proud of its own merits, while allowing the art style 1930s decor. staying relevant nearly 100 years later without becoming a pastiche of itself.

“I have used the mosaic collection in every room of my home, combining our Italian tradition and culture for high quality and elevated design with TREND materials,” said Federica Bisazza, Artistic Director of TREND. “I wanted to create a special atmosphere with tropical notes for my guests and friends to experience. Bringing beauty into the daily lives of our customers is our mission.

Set in nearly 30,000 square feet of lush tropical gardens overlooking the bay, Villa Primavera has been extended to offer 7,500 square feet of living space, complete with a remarkable swimming pool. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the interior with light and help connect indoors and outdoors into one space.

Aiming to reflect the building’s natural surroundings with lush greenery, water views, the bustle of downtown Miami, and the soft, distinctive lines of the building itself, the owners set goals to bold design without compromise. Light, color and geometric lines were key to achieving the overall effect and they quickly decided to use only Italian made products to ensure the highest levels of quality. The fit-out was overseen by the owner who is also TREND’s Artistic Director whose materials were used throughout to create a sense of continuity while allowing for the ultimate creative expression and contrast.

While living spaces play with light, bathrooms are where TREND materials are used for maximum creative expression. The master bathroom uses geometric patterns and colors to create an optical illusion that bends light and space. TRENDING Immense Effect glass tiles cover the walls, mixed with White and Platinum glass mosaic accents.

The creative use of tiles and mosaics continues throughout the property, making a statement with a combination of bold colors, textures, and design. The guest master bathroom features a stunning feature wall with a palm leaf design finished in artistic 24K Yellow Gold Flute 1 mosaics, bringing elements of the garden indoors. The bespoke vanity is also finished in hand-cut 24k yellow gold mosaics, creating continuity and visual contrast. In another guest bathroom, TREND Liberty Pearl glass tiles are used to create a warm and relaxing ambiance with neutral tones and subtle highlights. The tiles were installed vertically to give more height to the room and create a feeling of space.

The theme continues throughout the villa with the two guest bedrooms decorated with two-tone mosaics depicting tropical floral designs. Even the property’s private elevator features an original blue and red mosaic designed by Italian artist Marco Nero Rotelli. Carrying the theme outside, the pool is dressed in white mosaics and platinum gold tiles, reflecting the color of the sky and glistening in the sun.

TREND’s versatile range of surfacing, tiles and mosaics grace floors, walls, bathrooms and swimming pools in private and commercial properties around the world, wherever quality, design and artistic expression are considered essential elements for success. Villa Primavera is a shining example of how TREND can bring together the new and the old to create something exciting, special, unexpected and timeless.
